Most of the time we figure it out in our teen years, those years when we realize that our parents’ music isn’t what we like, and that our parents are too old because they can’t stand having music turned up loud. In my case, I’m lucky not to have gone through that because my parents, or at least my Mom, likes everything I do, with the occasional exception, such as Metallica.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“Elizabethtown,” a movie with Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst, was a big moment in my movie and music life. The movie could have been about my family, and I loved every part of it. Then came the music. My friend said, “Marissa, you are going to love this CD! Go buy it now, like now!” I obliged.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On the CD was Patty Griffin’s song “The Long Ride Home,” and right away, I fell in love with Griffin’s voice and the way her voice and the song complemented each other. She was on my iPod’s “25 Most Played” playlist immediately. After listening to that album, I kept coming back to her song. She was like Billie Holiday; I couldn’t stop listening to her. I felt the pain in her voice as she sang. I knew what she was going through.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I found her song “Rain” a couple months ago, and it recently shuffled up on my iPod. I sat down and realized that this was going to be a new favorite. Yes, Dad, that’s right, I said it’s my favorite, again. It has secured a spot on my “25 Most Played” playlist, next to “Drag” by Placebo and “Elegy for Dunkirk” by Dario Marianelli.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Griffin has a very expressive voice. She is like Billie Holiday in respect to talent and voice. Both are deep and expressive: you can feel every emotion they sing. Griffin has been nominated for a Grammy and has released seven albums. The guitars and other assorted instruments in her songs are a distinctly country sound. Wooo Hoo! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.uafsunstar.com/20090210/now-hear-sky-dwellers"&gt;Now Hear This: Sky Dwellers&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For those who can't access the link, here's the article:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now Hear This: Sky Dwellers&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Picture it: a small cabin filled with drums, guitars and one huge speaker; on the bed is a computer with all the band’s recording equipment except a power cord. The band? The Sky Dwellers—their name comes from what the Alaska Natives called the Aurora Borealis. They have been together since October of last year, although they didn’t consider themselves a band until Jace, the drummer, joined. There is a sincere camaraderie amongst them, and it definitely shows on stage.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Their music comes from a place that is genuine. Their sincere love for the music shines through, especially in “Breathe Part 1,” also known as “Kade’s Epic,” which happens to be Kade’s favorite song. All the band members have a favorite: Andrew’s is “Goner,” while Jace’s is “When the Whiskey Hit Me.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One of the best parts about the band is that there is not just one lyricist. The whole band writes—to each his own notebook and to each his own song. That’s one of the greatest things about The Sky Dwellers: they are influenced by each other and themselves. As their Myspace says, “A general collaberation (sic) of the artistic endevors (sic) of five young individuals with something one may call ‘musical talent.’” Each band member is influenced by different music, from Sublime to Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan to the Foo Fighters.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Their diverse tastes show in their music. They are a rock group according to my definition, but they classify themselves as a psychedelic band. Whatever their classification, they are great. My favorite songs of theirs are “Breathe Part 1” and “Apostrophe.” Both of those songs really made me tap my feet; I could feel the drums echoing through the floor, and the guitar solos were just amazing. It is great running music to get pumped up to or just something to put on in general when a rock and roll mood hits.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Their songs present a story, have a beginning, middle and end. They leave you wanting more, in a good way. My previous article was centered on death, but I want to focus more on how music can be used to celebrate life. Each song has its own story to relate to the listener. “Breathe Part 1” gave me the ability to breathe. I felt happier after listening to it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They don’t see themselves playing at Red Rocks in Colorado or at Madison Square Garden. Jace said they should aim low, but I disagree. I can see them playing there and in many other venues. They’re all about playing anywhere they can get a gig and are going to play again Feb. 20. I'm sorry for your loss.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On that sad note, the link for the new article is below. It is dedicated my Grandfather and this column more than any other means a lot to me. So here it is. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.uafsunstar.com/node/470"&gt; Now Hear This Billie Holiday &lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For those who can't open up the link here is the article. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now Hear This: Billie Holiday&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I dedicate this column to my Grandpa Ray, who died this last week. He introduced this artist to me through old CDs and I have been in love ever since.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Billie Holiday was and still is the “Queen of Song.” She was who Diana Ross portrayed in “Lady Sings the Blues.” Holiday’s past was turbulent at best. Her mother was 13 when she got pregnant with Billie and was thrown out of her house. Holiday was also placed under arrest while she lay dying in the hospital.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Despite Holiday’s private life, her voice was a force to be reckoned with. There was a depth and raw emotion in her voice that can’t be redone. Her music has been in many movies, most recently in “The Notebook.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“I’ll Be Seeing You” was Allie and Noah’s song. This song means a lot to me; it was the last thing I said to my Grandpa before he died. The song is beautiful in its own right as a love song.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This was the song that first got me into Billie Holiday. My Grandpa and I were listening to jazz, and her CD “Billie Holiday for Lovers” cued on the CD player. I was enthralled. There was such beauty in her voice, and I could really feel the music. The drama and the emotions from the song drew me in.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“I’ll Be Seeing You” isn’t the only one of her songs that I love. Another of my favorites is “Can’t Take That Away From Me,” which has been covered by everyone from Frank Sinatra to George Liberace. It’s a fun, jazzy song that makes me want kick up my heels and dance the foxtrot, even though I butcher the foxtrot like no other.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The jazz in the background is just as beautiful as Billie Holiday’s voice. There is a way the two blend that make a triple shot latte with Irish Cream seem ugly in comparison. The sax wailing in the background mixing with the gravelly voice of Holiday creates music you can almost see. It creates the yearning that is the calling card of jazz.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jazz is an acquired taste—some people like it, some love it, and some hate it. It has a melancholy beauty. Despite the yearning, there is a great love in the music. Because this is not a Political blog I'm not going to talk about Politics, but because this is a blog about music and life, it is ridiculous not think it won't come up. After all music is quite prevalent in elections and as in this article that Billboard did. &lt;a href="http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/day-by-day-the-obama-inauguration-music-1003931184.story"&gt; Day-By-Day: The Obama Inauguration Music &lt;/a&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Music has always been part of our lives in the Political arena. Whether or not they agree is another thing. In what I like to call the "Bush Protest Years" alot of bands have spoken out against Bush.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take for instance Green Day's American Idiot. It can be shown, as it is most times, as an album protesting Bush and the American Way. I'm not here to bash Bush nor am I here to give my opinion on Politics. Spencer Tracy put it quite elequently, "Actors don't have any damn place in Politics" and that can go for musicians too. I believe in the American Ideal and all that. I also believe by speaking out in form of a CD like American Idiot is awesome. It shows that we are still a people united under free speech. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Free speech and speaking out against what is wrong is the most patriotic thing one can do. I'm for Ghandi and Martin Luther King's views on Civil Disobedience and peaceful protest. People need to stand up for what they believe and protest, like we did in the American Revolution, "it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness". &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;People like Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp (aka John Cougar), The Beatles, Green Day, Bruce Springsteen and others alike. Take what they see is wrong and with how music goes everywhere now, more and more people are listening in and seeing what is wrong and stepping up to help. While the,"Greatest Generation" survived the Depression and fought valiantly in WWII, our Generation of the 80's, 90's, and the 00's are now standing up like others before us and saying all this bull needs to stop. We are often condemned by the media as being lazy and uncaring. When actually we are just tired of all the bull and lies, as showcased in, John Mayer's "Waiting on the World to Change". The music that is coming out now is now, like always, is Politically inspired or inspired by what is wrong in the world. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Music can help the world because those who write are allowed to freely write. It is our freedoms that set us apart and because our musicians are bigger than our Politicians because they keep it real. They show where everything is screwed up in the system and because they get out to a larger audience and people identify. If the bureaucrats in Washington can become more like musicians in the sense that they relate to their people and actually listen alot more would get done. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Listening is the key to everything, having an open ear to listen to complaints and listen to problems then having the action to get things done without anything. I know I'm an Idealist and I'm Mr. Smith in "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington", but I believe in the goodness of people and the power of music and the power of action because someone was influenced by those songs. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Protesting is the most Patrotic thing a person can do. It shows that they are invested in how their Government is run and they care about it enough to stand up and do something about it. As my Mum always said, "Always be kind and listen" because you never know who you'll inspire. No matter you're party, or if you're opposed to the war or not, be kind to those who are fighting for your rights over there and make sure that everyone gets treated with respect, because, it is a huge toll on all of us, as a nation, when we all are separated. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I wish President Obama good luck, because he has alot to prove in this new term in American Politics. He'll need all the luck he can get to clean up eight years of turmoil and despair. Newest one will be up soon. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.uafsunstar.com/20081202/now-hear-matt-nathanson"&gt;Now Hear This: Matt Nathanson&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you can't access the Link, here's the whole article.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The American Pie movies are the “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” for our generation. The song at the end of “American Pie: Band Camp” brings us to the pick of the week. “Laid,” which sums up all the American Pie movies, is a fun, catchy song, but it is the singer’s album “Underneath the Fireworks” that really caught my attention.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Matt Nathanson was an Artist on the Rise by VH1, and has received good reviews from Billboard magazine. He began his music career in 1993 with the release of “Please” and has been on the College/Coffee House circuit ever since.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He has just begun receiving national recognition with his latest record. The first single from it, “Come On Get Higher,” peaked at 63 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is the 20th video on the Top 20 on VH1. He was also on Jimmy Kimmel Live along with Eli Stone and Men in Trees.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;His music is classified as Folk Rock, and is built on a 12-string guitar and catchy lyrics. His 2003 album “Underneath the Fireworks” has hits like “Angel” and “Curve of the Earth” that set the tone for the whole CD, epitomizing what most of his albums are about: rejection, loss and love. His lyrics can be harsh at times, but at others, they can be quite sensual.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;His website declares “Some Mad Hope” to be “a song cycle of sorts that chronicles the search for a genuine connection, touching on the sensually electric moments as well as the darker frustrations of sifting through the wreckage -- in hopes of finding redemption at the end of the day.” To me the album is like watching a relationship from start to finish, each song documenting the love and loss in the relationship.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There is hardly a place in music where you don’t find the themes of love, loss, redemption. Matt Nathanson provides a story in each of his albums, showing the true human emotions. No matter the mood, Matt Nathanson is a good choice, because he is what I call good music. I'm not even kidding, I was a sight to behold. I wish that I could wake up and my hair be like every other woman in the movies hair; just perfect and in place, carefully disheveled. Today was an exciting day, as well every day you wake up breathing. Its just a bit more exciting because I have a performance with my Middle Eastern Dance class at the Salsbury Theater! His new single, “I’m Yours” and his new album, “We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things,” has hit No. 3 in the U.S. album charts. U.S. Adult charts places his new single at No. 1, while Billboard places it in ninth place.&lt;br /&gt;He has been on a few movie soundtracks like “50 First Dates,” “New York Minute” and the television show “Everwood.” His sound is quite unique. Like Maroon 5, his sound changes from song to song and album to album. He has a light and airy sound that sounds summery and emits feel-good vibes. His first hit with “Remedy” was a summer favorite during 2004, providing a musical refuge.&lt;br /&gt;His newest single, “I’m Yours,” has a Caribbean feel to it; it can be used as a part of a summer montage scene, with beaches, margaritas and the epitome of summer: the beach bonfire. The acoustic guitar and Mraz’s voice blends together like good strawberry lemonade. “I’m Yours” has a beach-themed music video that was filmed in Hawaii. All in all, it is a song that gives off summer ambience.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;No amount of summer feel-good vibes could starve off the lyrics of his first single “Remedy.” Despite the happy-go-lucky background music, the lyrics are about his dying childhood friend. The sad news changed his whole outlook on life, leading to the creation of this hit song.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Summer-sounding artists are great during the summer, but in the throes of bitter winter cold and ice-covered sidewalks and roadways, they are even better. The sounds of summer invoke the feel of the sun on bare skin and sweet breeze that flutters in; all of these senses go back to feel of summer and can put you in a better mood. Other great summer artists include Kenny Chesney, Pink and many others. Winter is no reason not to feel like a rockstar or to have good tunes like those by Jason Mraz. It is just amazing. Obama's speech was fantastic and just in awe.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is a brand new day. John McCain's speech was amazing too. It was a long and hard race and both parties tried hard, but, we're not here for politics, we are here for music and... Now Hear This: Dylan is now up.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.uafsunstar.com/20081104/now-hear-dylan"&gt;Now Hear This: Bob Dylan&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you can't get to it at that link, here's the article in full.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Bob Dylan is the one name that evokes the image of New York sound, the musty, smoky bar in Greenwich Village. He was notorious for playing secret shows in the village in the 1960s and ‘70s. He still does shows, and his most recent album, released in 2006, is called Modern Times, which I highly recommend alongside his other CDs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He was not the first to talk about politics in music, nor will he be the last. One of my favorite songs is “The Times They Are A-Changin’.” While it was written in the 1960s, the song is just as relevant now as it was then. The political climate and chaos of the ‘60s is all embedded in his music. The strumming of his guitar and the flow of his gravelly voice provides a song that is both irresistible and memorable. While iTunes says that his music is of the Rock genre, I think that he is label-less, which can make organizing his music a bit difficult. He can be Folk, Rock, and Country Rock all on one album.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One song that should be on a Road Trip album is “Subterranean Homesick Blues,” which, to me, just screams Jack Kerouac. While they are of two different crafts—Kerouac as a Beatnik poet and Dylan as a Rock singer—they can and do blend together, like a good French Roast and a dash of cream and sugar.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Coffee references aside, his music states something that everyone heading into elections knows: “The line it is drawn/The curse it is cast…/The order is rapidly fadin’./And the first one now/Will later be last/For the times they are a-changin’.” No matter your party, good music is good music, and Dylan is definitely good music.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;DJ M’s Playlist of the Week:&lt;br /&gt;1. This is a hard-hitting girl who is not afraid to say what she thinks and feels. Ani is being hailed as “one of the greatest acoustic guitarists since Bob Dylan” and her live album, “Live at Babeville” is said to be “one of the best live acts since the Grateful Dead.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;She has been producing music for the last 18 years and has been featured in many movies, such as “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” and hit shows like “Nip/Tuck.” While her music is her business, her other duties include being a mother to Petah Lucia, born on Jan. 20 of last year. She takes her daughter with her when she tours, and has been quoted as saying, “my daughter is growing up on the road.” Her feministic views and new status as a mother are all reflected in her new album “Red Letter Year,” which is going to be released on Sept. 30.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Her voice has a nice tone to it, no hard-hitting electric guitars. Instead, she has her lyrics and acoustic guitar. The music is not all folksy songs like Grateful Dead; there are songs like “Emancipated Minor” that pick up the beat into a jazz setting, like Arethra Franklin in “Chain of Fools.” “Red Letter Year” sounds like The Blues Brothers meeting The Grateful Dead with a sprinkle of Miles Davis and pinch of Bruce Springsteen. DiFranco’s sound is unique in the folk music scene and hopefully paves a way for new musicians who want to travel in her footsteps.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;While I really like her new CD, I give it 3 out of 5 stars. Blend well with The Bravery and put it in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve it hot, and you get the music from Band of Horses. This band combines a nice sound of drums and guitars with a good even tone from the lead singer.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Their music, despite the description above, sounds woodsy, yet influenced by the grunge rock scene. The song “Our Swords” is a good one to put on when cleaning the house, doing the dishes or even just putting on music just to listen. It has a great tempo and an easy fluid beat, creating a song that you can sway to (not recommended while driving).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The band’s name was originally just Horses. Picture it: July 13, 2006, the Late Show with David Letterman. A new band with a different sound from the Northwest appears on screens everywhere. The song that started was “The Funeral,” which was on the band’s first album and ended up on the One Tree Hill: Road Mix soundtrack. The strumming guitar and the singer-songwriter-feel of the beginning leads into a powerful ballad. The band recorded their first album and subsequent albums in North Carolina, all because of one fateful night with David Letterman.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Their first album, Everything All the Time, was released on March 21, 2006 and peaked at Billboards’ Independent Album charts at 31. Keeping to the form of more indie rock than pop rock, they released their second album, Cease to Begin, on Oct. 9. This album flew to No. 1 on the Billboard Independent Album charts. Both of these albums are available on iTunes, other music sources on the Internet, or even old-school record stores. Although the first single “Fix It” was released Sept. 23 of this year.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In 2001 Adams won, “Best Male Rock Vocal” as well as “Best Rock Album.” Although he didn’t win, he was also nominated the same year for the “Best Male Country Vocal” for his version of Hank Williams’ song “Love Sick Blues”.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ryan Adams is one of my favorite singers; his bluesy, yet alternative country sound is reminiscent of Bob Dylan. Both have amazing voices that are gravelly and beautiful, Adams’ voice is showcased in the ballad, “Hotel Chelsea Nights.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Besides the rocking guitar riffs and powerful ballads that Adams and Dylan both sing, they are also both long time residents of New York City; The Big Apple is ever present in their music.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Adams definitely has a New York sound to his music. Sounds great right? Wrong. I feel guilty for something, I really don't know what, ok I know what it is about. I feel guilt because someone came to me asking for help and I just said no. While I've said no before, its the first time I've said no to him and it is bugging me deeply. I just can't get it outta my head and he hasn't contacted me and I feel guilty and sad because of that. I know, that its not my fault that he did the things he did, but I feel responsible for him. I know, that I should, but I do and I know I can't help someone who doesn't want it, but, damn it, it is just irritating. Its also bugging me, wheater or not I'm suppose to do my major. I know that I want to write, but, I don't know what I'm meant to do. Your probably wondering what this has to do with music, well, it has to do with having a playlist for your moods.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've learned that having a playlist for your moods can help you deal with life in general. So everyone that can get one, grab one, if not, I'll put up the link, when it is made available :D Now to take a nap, because I'm exhausted and I have a midnight deadline for a story that hasn't happened yet. WHOO go Journalism! haha, but in other news. I had an eye opening class in my American Sign Language class.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We had a guest speaker and she is deaf, but wears cochlear implants and is like me, she can live in the hearing world and in the deaf world. It was so awesome to listen to someon who struggled like I did with learning how to hear and using my hearing and use it. She said and explained all the things that I was feeling and how I felt and everything. I was so cool to see, that I wasn't the only one who felt like that. Guilty because I could hear while others couldn't and guilty because I couldn't hear and was feigning the ability to exisit in a world that would label me as disabled, when I didn't believe I was. I got her email and so I'll be emailing her alot about being deaf in a hearing world and the like. I think I suprised her when she was going through and asking people if they were hearing and I said i was hard of hearing and we signed for a minute back and forth.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This whole experience was just wonderful. It showed me how free I really am. I fit in everywhere, even when it seems like I fit nowhere. Anyways, I've got a ton of homework to do. So thats my rant for today.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Much Love. Me&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here are the Reviews for both the CD and Movie:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist” is a great album. I bought it hoping that it would be good and I was blown away by how great it really was. It has a great indie&lt;br /&gt;sound to it. If the soundtracks from “Juno” and “One Tree Hill” had a baby, this is what it would sound like.&lt;br /&gt;It’s an album that you get sucked into with toe-tapping beats and an infectious ability to make you do so.&lt;br /&gt;The song “Middle Management” by Bishop&lt;br /&gt;Allen is the song from the trailer for the movie and would be a great addition to any running or workout playlist. That’s not the only song that can appease listeners.&lt;br /&gt;The song “Nick and Norah’s Theme Song” by Marks Mothersbaugh is also a catchy tune that can delight even the most hard rocker. It is a fanciful and wonderfully&lt;br /&gt;synchronized tune. While techno heads might love it, it can appease anyone looking&lt;br /&gt;for a great instrumental to lay out and ponder about life to.&lt;br /&gt;This album is a great one and I give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars.&lt;br /&gt;DJ M’s Playlist of the Week:&lt;br /&gt;1.Middle Mangement- Bishop Allen&lt;br /&gt;2.Nick and Norah’s Theme- Marks Mothersbaugh&lt;br /&gt;3.Riot Radio- The Dead 60s&lt;br /&gt;4.Our Swords- Band of Horses&lt;br /&gt;5.Screw That Man- The Jerk-Offs&lt;br /&gt;6.How To Say Goodbye- Paul Tiernan&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Movie:&lt;br /&gt;I went to see “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist” expecting something to see something&lt;br /&gt;amazing and I got an amazing view of the world of New York City. There were parts of the film that were a bit reminiscent&lt;br /&gt;of Juno, which also starred Michael Cera, but other than that, it was a great movie.&lt;br /&gt;The plot circles around Nick, a member of the band the Jerk-Offs, who has recently&lt;br /&gt;been dumped. When his ex shows up to one of his shows, he turns to a stranger, Norah, and asks her to be his girlfriend for five minutes, which sets them on a citywide&lt;br /&gt;adventure.&lt;br /&gt;The music of the film stayed true to the indie rock vibe, which was what the director&lt;br /&gt;and writers were aiming for and it also provide sentimental moments like when Norah asks Nick if he’s sad because he’s missing the concert. He replies, “I’m not missing it, this is it.”&lt;br /&gt;It was a great movie that is good for anyone&lt;br /&gt;to go see. It really is great, its like if Juno's Soundtrack and One Tree Hill's Soundtracks had a twins named Nick and Norah.  I'm really liking the song Middle Management  by Bishop Allen. Their songs can range from hard-hitting rock to soft harmonious lyrics that create a scene in your head.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The song “Butterflies and Hurricanes” has a beautiful orchestra that lends itself to the self-empowering lyrics&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;that float like a butterfly and hit like a hurricane. All of their albums are rumored to have hidden messages in them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One thing that is present are the musical tastes they are inspired by, like Italian and yet they also have a hint of Depeche Mode and a small tasting of Jimi Hendrix. In the album “Absolution,” the band also makes major use of distorted bass lines to add a heavier, more intense feel to their riffs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;While “Absolution” in my opinion is Muse’s best album, their other studio albums like “Black Holes and Revelations,” “Showbiz” and “Origin of Symmetry” all are great albums that are great at creating pictures and stories in the listener’s head.
